Femi Oyeniran is an award-winning actor and filmmaker. Born in Nigeria and raised in the UK, he starred in the iconic British film Kidulthood at 17 before completing a law degree at the London School of Economics. He has appeared in Adulthood, Anuvahood, and other productions like Absolutely Fabulous and Demons Never Die.
In 2013, Femi wrote, directed, and produced the feature film It’s A Lot. His next film, THE INTENT, was a major success, followed by THE INTENT 2: THE COME UP, which won multiple awards. Both films gained global audiences on Netflix.
Femi has worked across various platforms, including writing for Idris Elba’s Netflix series Turn Up Charlie and producing for Sky Atlantic’s Tin Star.
His production company, FAN STUDIOS, co-founded with Nicky “Slimting” Walker, relaunched the legendary UK music channel Channel U and produced the Royal Television Society award-winning series The Evolution of Black British Music. The company also produced the Webby award-winning Comedy Central show Drunk History: Black Stories, which Femi directed. Untold: From Raps to Riches was produced for Channel 4 in 2022. It documented UK rappers transitioning to business. Most recently Femi executive produced Trapping, a feature film launched on FAN STUDIOS' platform, THE DROP.
Femi’s work has played a significant role in shaping Black British film and youth culture, spotlighting London’s subcultures in music, fashion, and art.
